Look closely at this stunning plaster medallion. Would you instantly think it was designed and executed by a professional plaster artist? Sure you would!

But it's the creative work of Denise Layne, a total beginner who just happens to have a new love: plaster molds!

I asked Denise if she was a professional by chance or if she had just created this beautiful medallion in her own home. Here's what she said:

"Yes it is in my own house, I have many friends that would love for me to do it for them but really just enjoy doing it for myself.  I do stage design for my church (volunteer), I make sets , costumes and whatever else they can think of!  I am making 12 foot frames that will include many of the molds, very vintage, with wreaths in the center.  I just love your products and how quickly I get everything once I order. "

I can see why Denise does set design for her church. She has a natural eye for placement and design.

Also in her own home, she created this detailed mantle design for her fireplace from just two molds. It's gorgeous!

Now, this is EXACTLY what I was hoping to see when I released my line of Ornamental Plaster Molds. That people like you would realize how beautiful you can make just about anything with a plaster mold, some inexpensive plaster of paris and just a hint of creativity!

Fantastic job Denise! Please keep us posted on all of your upcoming projects.
