Decorating with Faux Finishes

Simple brush strokes create a unique faux wall finish

Professional Faux Finisher, Candie Green, wanted to give her client something truly different and interesting.

Bringing in colors the client loved, Candie created random brush strokes over a soft faux finish in green and pink to add detail to the walls.

Applying one color above the other gave the walls a really unique look.

What a fun project to do in any room. It's certainly a lot less expensive than wallpaper, yet still gives the room that beautiful effect.

Isn't it just amazing what you can achieve with a paint brush and wall paint?

Designers tip:

Try incorporating colors you already have in the room. For instance, favorite colors in a piece of artwork, area rug or pillows.

Or how about simply using variations of your wall color in more neutral tones such as beige, browns, gold, rust or taupe?
