Fun colors and a counter top make over give a kitchen a new look

Roxanne and I went back and forth a number of times over her counter top. She was worried the colors just wouldn't look right when I explained to her what colors to use and their order based on the sample she sent me.

But she found that once she dug in to the project and got it done that she loved it!

After protecting her sink, cupboard and backsplash wit tape, she started by priming the entire surface as instructed with BIN primer from Zinser (found at your local Home Depot, Lowe's or paint store).

She then painted the entire surface jet black to give it that deep, rich background.

Using the stencil, she then used a medium gray blue as her first color and a light gray blue as her second color.

She then flecked white paint all over the surface to give it a little more interest.

After it was all dry and 4 coats of high gloss sealer later, she has a new counter top that she just loves.

Great job Roxanne!
