So many highly creative and talented people visit our
website and then send us their incredible creations using our stencils and
plaster molds and
Darla Dawald has graced
us many times with her insightful decorating....(and aren't we grateful?)
Here she uses our
Raised Plaster Vertical Leaf Frieze Stencil
to create two different finishes on walls.

In this first example, she used our plaster stencil to
create the design in the center of the wall column. After it dried, she
painted the walls and the raised stencil design deep beige then randomly added
metallic gold paint to give them a bit of glizt.
With a small artists brush, she brought out more of the
detail of the stencil design by highlighting it again with more gold metallic paint. I
love the look! (Might I consider this treatment for my main bath?).
But was she done??? Heck no! She used the same design to
coordinate gold draperies on a lipstick red wall. Ooooo La La! The look is
positively regal!

What Darla teaches us here is that it's actually quite easy
to bring accessory colors on to even the most brightly colored wall. Simply
add the accessory color to the stencil design to create a coordinated and very
intriguing look to your room.
Now, let's take this whole idea one step further: Use the
same stencil design with lipstick red paint to add to pillows, area rugs or as a
repeated border around a non-accent wall. Can you see it in your mind? I can!
Thank you Darla! Keep in touch, we love what you do!
Remember that any of our
plaster stencils can also be used with paint!
