Raised Plaster Life-sized Aspen Tree Stencil

Deborah Bernard wanted our Raised Plaster Aspen Tree Stencil done in her living room. But she wanted it to be different from anything else she'd seen.

Plastering the tree to take up an entire corner, she added lots of branches for rich detail. But when it came to color she went for broke using bronze metallic paints.

As you can see, the branches pick up the light in the room to cast a beautiful glow over the tree. A great color choice, you can see how it coordinates with her decorating colors just beautifully.

Metallic paints wind up being like a reflector of sorts and Deborah took full advantage of this fact. Imagine how the appearance of her tree must change as the light changes in the room.

Great job Deborah and thanks so much for sharing! (Hmmmm......I wonder how doing the branches only around the inside of my powder room ceiling might look with this same treatment!... I'm now pondering...).
