Delicate Color and Gold Highlighting Makes These Trees Extra Special

Raised Plaster Life-sized Aspen Tree Stencil

Pauline Charpentier has been one of my favorite artists for years! She's done such incredible things with our stencil designs and this time, just blew me away using our Raised Plaster Life-sized Aspen Tree Stencil.

Creating a vignette of trees between the doorway and the framed art, Pauline plastered them from floor to ceiling then added paint touches that are just beautiful.

Click on the photo to see what she's done with the trunks! Painting them and then adding bits of metallic gold to give them elegant shimmer.

Wendy obviously loves her little one! She wanted to make her room extra special by making fantasy just a little more "real".

The leaves are soft greens that compliment the room colors. Adding the paint colors seems to really make this small grove of trees come to life in the most realistic way. I just love it!

Thank you Pauline! Once again, you've set our heads spinning with ideas!

Designer's Tip: To make your tree project go faster, use our "skip" method when applying the trunk.

Do the first, repeat, skip the second, do the third and so on. Since the joint compound must dry between repeats, jumping past the next repeat allows you to continue on.

Once the first repeats are dry, simply go back and use the stencil again to fill in the missing repeats. Begin adding side branches to any portions that are dry and continue on with your tree construction.

Remember that any of our plaster stencils can also be used with paint!
