Decorating Ideas with Plaster Stenciling

A Bucket of Joint Compound and some Gold Paint result in 10 feet of beauty!

Finally getting the chance to complete my Raised Plaster Aspen Tree design in our second home in the forest of northern Idaho made me deliciously happy!.  I finally got to step back and appreciate the beauty of it and the fact that the vision I had seen in my head in the beginning was now a reality.

Using our Raised Plaster Aspen Tree Stencil, I created a ceiling to floor tree with a bit of joint compound that spans 10 feet, and then painted the entire tree in gold metallic paint.

As the sun streams through the windows at various times of the day, different parts of the tree light up and glimmer. I just can't take my eyes off them!

Visitors gasp the moment they walk in to our home and see these magnificent trees on the wall right in front of them.

I created two of these trees on either side of the french doors to the front deck. Having twin trees creates quite a scene that mimics the birch trees within the forest just outside. What a perfect decorating element for a home in the forest.
