Linda Wetch has an eye for color that competes strongly with designers who have schooled to achieve a license in decor and spent years developing their trade.

This wall sports a faux finish of pale cream and soft gold. She then added our Raised Plaster Berry Branch Frieze Stencil in to the corners and painted them with gentle tones of green and mauve.

Look closely and see how she incorporated the berry color right in to the base of many of the leaves and branches. The subtle changes in color seem to melt together as if they were airbrushed.

Notice that the same mauve has been gently blended in to the wall finish as well.

I would imagine that the entire room took on a very soft, elegant feel when she was finished.

But she didn't stop at the walls! She also included plaster stenciling on an old wooden chair to give it a more antique feel!

Our

Raised Plaster Wreath of Leaves Frieze was used in the center of the chair with one of the elements from our Raised Plaster Small Designs 2 on the back post.

Raised plaster stencils can be used in endless ways to give plain items real pizzazz! Don't be afraid to give it a try. Remember that even after it dries, and as long as you haven't yet painted over the design, if you don't like it, simply get it wet and scrape it off! It's easy (but trust me, you'll be leaving it there then finding other places to put MORE!!!!).

Thank you Linda!
