Decorating with Plaster Stenciling

A single stencil creates an entire plant!

Pat Nelson put her thinking cap on for this one and using our Raised Plaster Palm Leaf Stencil, she first stenciled a round pot then repeated the stencil inside the opening to create a full plant design.

Simply flipping it over and turning it slightly with each repeat gave her the fullness she needed to mimic the whole plant design.

By pre-tinting the joint compound, she was also able to save valuable time by not having to paint each leaf individually.

When creating a lovely focal point such as Pat's, consider adding faded palm leaves as a wallpaper pattern either painted the same color as the wall or with only minor color washing added to complete the picture.

Thanks Pat! You know I always love getting your email!
