Decorating with Cast Plaster

Eddie's Creativity and 3 little molds make for Gorgeous Victorian Ceilings!

Is Eddie McMillan the reincarnation of some long ago plasterer who labored hours, days, even weeks to create such exquisite work on the ceiling of some chapel in Rome? Some villa in Spain? My mind wanders to ancient times and there, could it be? Eddie McMillan on a ladder?

Heck no! Eddie is a regular person just like you and I; filled with the desire to beautify his surroundings with "art". Rare art... Original Art....Art he could do himself... to see the picture in his own mind then to transfer it to reality.

And he did it with molds!

And Eddies' art is truly "exquisite" !

Plaster of Paris is ultra cheap! And you get LOTS of cast plaster ornaments such as these from just one bag (usually costing around 6.00 at your local home store).

Simply mix with water as directed on the bag, spray your mold with a release agent or even "Pam" cooking spray, fill the mold, scrape off the excess, wait for about 30-45 minutes for it to harden and pop it out. It's that simple!

They do need to be dry before applying them to your wall or ceiling, but there's a quicker way than letting them air dry (2-3 days). Simply remove them from the mold,  pop them in a 300 degree oven for about an hour (yes, steam will escape.. that's the moisture being released) and when you open that little oven door, all your pieces will be dry as a bone and ready to apply to your design!

Create unique designs by combining different mold elements or copy one of the designs you have seen on this website.. it's Ok, we give you permission! Even Eddie does.. who seems to delight in showing you something new and exciting!

Eddie, you truly are "Da Man!".
