Decorating with Cast Plaster

Turn plain in to plain "Beautiful"!

Sue Scarantino, artist extraordinaire is one of Ebay's sought after sellers of fine, hand painted items.

Her hand painted signs are one of her most beautiful creations and I constantly watch her auctions for just that perfect addition to my Idaho bath powder room. Sure, I could make my own... but it's Sue's dramatic roses...Sue's romantic lay-out that I covet.

Though her signs have always been beautiful, they became even more so with the addition of cast plaster ornaments from our molds. She used our Oasis Plaster Mold on the edges of this rose painted door element which added such detail!

Painting them the same off-white as the recessed center section of her sign, then wiping a deeper color over the top of each piece and quickly wiping it off brought out even more detail in the piece by settling in to the deep crevices.

Now her design has authentic Victorian appeal as well.

Designers tip:

Cast plaster pieces can be used on nearly any item you choose. Cast out of concrete when using them on something that might get banged around a lot for super durable results! Great for outdoor use as well!
