Decorating with Plaster Stenciling

Raised Plaster Aspen and Quail create a beautiful bath

Doreen Foster has become infatuated with Raised Plaster as is evident in her very elegant "Aspen Bath".

Doreen says:

"Just wanted to show you what I did in my bathroom in the home we recently built near Sunriver, (Bend) OR. I did the toilet room first, and as it is small and not the most public place in our house, I figured it would be a good place to launch my "First Attempt" at the Raised Plaster Aspen Tree Stencil

My husband nearly fell over! He thought it was great! (That's always a real plus!) After that, I tackled the other side of the wall, which is over the tub. (The first thing you see entering the master bathroom).

Our property is named "Quail Bend", so along with adding more trees, I just had to let a few quail in, right? I drew and cut my own stencils for the little guys and then highlighted some, (quail and leaves) but not all of it, with a pale paint.

Now the Husband is not only very happy with my work, but drags everyone who stops by into the bathroom (whether they have to go or not!)

The bottom line is that my next door neighbor who has a beautiful home, have hired me to redecorate their house for them. I am planning on using the Raised Plaster Pinecone Branch and Mold Set as sort of a border in the kitchen but also, one of the things that I want to do for them is a large pine tree in the entry.

Designer's tip:

Since Doreen had wanted to create a Raised Plaster Pine Tree for her neighbor's entry, I suggested that she use the existing trunk and side branch from the Aspen Tree Stencil and apply the branch and mold of the Plaster Pinecone Branch and Mold set to create the tree design they were looking for! We are now waiting patiently for her to send us photos of the finished design.

Thank you Doreen!
