"Just Jump"!

Mrs. Pedroch has been introduced to me by her husband Dale who couldn't help but to write me and send photos of her exquisite work in their powder room.

Dale obviously is impressed and they both were surprised at the rave reviews they got from friends and family.

Just Jump in and do it.....that's the Pedroch way! Yes, the work was painstaking, but the results were well worth it.

Two shapes of stone compliment one another on adjacent walls. Large staggered stone on the sink wall and diamond repeats on the side wall. Though the technique of faux painting the stones appears similar, look at how they came out so differently.

She was VERY smart to make some of the stones lighter and some darker in color and with different, yet coordinating tones of color. This technique creates a highly "realistic" stone wall.

How can YOU create stones on your wall?

If you choose not to use a stencil design, very thin tape is available at your local auto detail shop as well as some wallpaper and paint stores.

Create your stone design and mark the lines lightly with pencil, use the tape on your lines to create "grout" lines. Pre-paint your wall the color that you would wish your grout to be.

With the stones all laid out and taped off, now sponge or marble as you choose. Again, seeing that some stones are different colors. Vary your technique on each stone to give a bit more realism.

The Pedroch's have other projects to show you that will be coming soon! Congratulations on a job well done!
