Mike Feiler has only been in
the interior faux finishes industry for two years but has an "edge" with his
thirst for knowlege and his desire for perfection. A 3 month long
project for a client, resulted in walls that sport 6 different faux finishes
with extreme variety. Textured leather, strie with pearl glaze, venetian
plaster and distressed wood offer the client complete variety and extreme
detail.
Two different colors of venetian plaster create a "one of a kind"
finishes that Mike is proud to say that he's developed himself.
Aged, distressed wood walls (which started out as the plain, white
variety we all have in our homes) are outstanding!
Even his "exposed" brick accent lends realism to the Italian finish of
plaster.
Mike may be relatively new to the industry, but he's on his way to
becoming not only respected but BUSY!
Congratulations Mike! Keep us posted on further creative commissions
and much success to you!
If you are interested in having Mike create something wonderful on
your walls, you can find him in the "Hire a Pro" section under "Ohio".
Designer's tip:
Though Mike's process of distressed
wood walls would be highly involved, you can create a similar effect by
painting your wall one color, applying another color over the top. Once dry,
using a very fine grit sand paper, lightly sand the wall just here and there
and only enough to expose the under layer of paint.
