Becky Shields, takes her art
very seriously! And seriously REAL looking is what it turns out to be! In the top photo, she used our Raised Plaster Rough Bricks stencil to create real looking brick on this wall. Painting the wall first with what she intends to be the "grout color" saves time! Replacing the stencil over the bricks to add sponged colors give the bricks even more realism. For exposed brick, she's used a 3-D effect of painting shadows on the lower and right hand side of each brick and on the right hand side of the painted "plaster" that appears to be chipping away. Little tricks like these are great fun to do! Below, she used our Raised Plaster Stone Window Stencil to create an arched window in which she then painted a vineyard. Deeply colored walls make that window really "pop" right out at you! Keep sending these great designs Becky! We love them!
