Decorating with Stencils

Color warms and sooths while plaster stenciling provides rich detail.

Janine Leduc, one of our artist friends in Canada, is a professional faux finish artist. (Catch her link in the "Hire a pro" section to the left) But discovering plaster stenciling led her to create a ceiling bordered in our Raised Plaster Acanthus design.

The Plaster design matches the faux finished walls (see her faux finishing in the "Faux Finish" section of the decorating projects) and is beautiful against the lighter ceiling.

Her use of color is warm and cheering and her faux finishing, obviously refined.

This lady has some of the most perfect faux finishes I've ever seen and I can't wait for you to see them as well!
