Rhonda Vigus
is no stranger to this
website.. or to decorating. She's a professional New York artist who owns "Flowerchild
Painting" and I can certainly sees why she's a sought after decorator.
Viewing her photos, it's easy to see why Rhonda keeps so busy. Her use of
color and element is very tasteful and "classy".
She used our Raised Plaster Final Border to create a raised design on peach
walls and to coordinate, cast plaster finial medallions from our inexpensive
little mold, painted them gold then applied them to deeply toned walls.
Notice the striping on the walls? Cool huh?
Here's what Rhonda said about the job in her last email:
"Hello Victoria,
Been busy working
three painting jobs at once...whew!
I have taken some pics
of the 'big job' and thought you'd like a preview. This is a high-end nail
salon and boutique. The nail salon serves both male and female clients, so
I had to keep it pretty much non-gender design/color. So choose the dark
brown for the reception area and the peach color blending for the operatory/shop
area. All the doors and moldings I have applied an antique glaze in
metallic bronze. I'll have more pics when the job is completed. Just
thought you'd like to see these now...oh, the plaster is still wet on the
peach walls, one way of getting the dimension to show up on photos!"

Awesome job Rhonda! And you know I LOVE
your pictures so keep us posted on further creative endeavors! We'd love you
to share!
Designer's tip: Casting
plaster is easy! Simply mix 2 parts Plaster of Paris in to one part water,
mix well, pour in to your mold that has been sprayed with a cooking spray,
mold release, or even wiped well with baby oil. Pour in the plaster, let it
set for about 45 minutes, pop it out and it's ready to apply to your walls,
furniture, cupboards or gift boxes! I'm hooked and you will be too once you
try it! A great rainy day project for kids!
