Decorating with Plaster Stenciling

Tall Aspens Grown in the Idaho Mountains in Plaster!

Our second home in the mountains of northern Idaho is surrounded by a dense evergreen forest dotted with spectacular aspen trees.

What better element to bring in to our interior design? Our Raised Plaster Aspen Tree Stencil!

I've already plastered twin Aspen trees on either side of the deck doorway that reach 15 feet but decided a 25 foot version that spanned the lower and upper floors was in order to really create impact!

Beginning at mid staircase to the lower level, I began plastering my trees.

Two trees fill the design. One growing straight up and the other crossing it at mid way and bending over to the right. There was a lot of blank wall to fill and this did the trick!

Superman Dana Larsen (my wonderful husband) braved the rail in bare feet to apply the final branches to the design.

Because we have more projects than time at that home (since we are moving there in just two short years), the tree only gets a branch or two during each trip but is coming along beautifully. Even though it is not yet finished, neighbors, friends and family are in awe of it.

Once I have finished it completely, I will unveil the final design for you to gasp at!

Designer's tip:

Because our plaster Aspen Tree design is laid out in to separate elements, it's easy to create a very life-like raised tree on your walls to any height you choose! Simply repeat the trunk to any level then add side branches and leafy branches to your heart's content!
