Decorating with Stencils

Fantasy bedroom develops a little boy's imagination!

Spring Meese  is not only a very creative artist/designer, she's also my very precious sister. I have never been able to do "cute" designs well but that girl can knock 'em out like there's no tomorrow!
So I requested that she design some life-sized mural designs for my stencil line and this is her first:
"Jack and the Beanstalk"

Being a new mother (for the second time around) She wanted a design in her son's room that wouldn't be too "foofie"..... Jack was PERFECT!
VERY clever to have Jackie actually hanging off those leaves on his way up the vine to the castle waiting above (truly a fantasy flight!).

The veining in the leaves and the tiny spiraling tendrils lends to it's detail as does Jack's facial features. The vine is completely and easily repeatable making it a cinch for that vine to climb all over the walls if you choose.

She used our birds and clouds stencil to create a realistic sky with Wedgwood Blue Stencil cream and a large brush using big circles instead of dabbing.
This entire Mural was done with Delta Stencil Cream paints in Colonial green, Wedgwood Blue, Chocolate, Royal Blue, Paprika and warm brown.
