Lynn Low (my friend and sister) is now a budding and well paid "muralist" in New Mexico. In this client's powder room, she created a full lighthouse scene complete with the large lighthouse, rocks and sea! She even put clouds on the ceiling! (Well there's nothing like feeling like you're seated on the outside deck of a ship while you tinkle! Is there?). Actually, I think it's just adorable! What a novel idea. Now, accessorize with ship novelty and you've got a powder room fit for any captain in your life (even if it's YOU!). |

| Designers tip: Murals create an "atmosphere" and "feeling" when you're within a room that houses them. Give some thought as to how you want to feel in that room. Excited and ready for anything? Do something wonderful whimsical and vibrant..... Want to feel cozy and relaxed? Do something like a soft scenery in pastel colors... it's all up to you. The great thing is, you can change it in a short time with a bucket of paint and start over! Ha! |
