Laura Goguet has a flair for creating designs to enchant. In this fantasy child's room, she created a mural of green lawn, a tree to climb, a stone path to travel and a gate to walk through in to a whole world of whimsy for the lucky child who owns this room. Bright colors, as we have all heard are good for children's little minds but in Laura's mural, they are tempered with softer colors of gray and green to as not to overwhelm. In her column wall below, she surrounded the fireplace wall with steel gray columns draped in wisteria and added a topiary tree to each side of the fireplace. Click on the picture below and study what she did with the columns. See the cracks? Totally cool! I never thought of doing that (thanks for the tip Laura!) |
