Decorating with Stencils

Falling to my knees in praise of Maggie McQueen!

Maggie McQueen should be an interior decorator if she isn't already! This woman took this dull room and turned it in to the most exquisite vision of elegance I've seen in a very long time!

Pale gray walls were transformed with rich deep color, an acanthus stencil and gold paint! She used the acanthus design in a wallpaper pattern all over the walls then added a white border at the top and plastered our "Raised Plaster Oxford Oblong Panel" in gold. Adding the painted gold molding completes the upper walls in such opulence! The finishing touch is the beautiful acanthus design in the ceiling corners.

But the creativity isn't over by any means! To the lower wall, she added chair rail level molding and left the gray of the previous wall, adding rectangle panels to match the wallpaper effect above.

This style of decorating is exactly what I mean by "looking wealthy" even if you are not. Simple paint, plaster and wood has turned this room in to something right out of "Architectural Digest" magazine! Maggie should be VERY proud of not only her artistry and handi-work, but also of her wonderful taste!

Thank you so much Maggie! I've enjoyed this one VERY much!
