Ah those Victorians! If they knew back then that they were handing down designs to generations to come that would out survive all of us, they would have simply been amazed. This frieze is one of them and was used extensively in Victorian times on any number of items and in various types of products. It measures 11 3/4 x 5" and is a perfect design for over doorways or windows or mounted on the ceiling as a repeated border around the room. What an ornate looking "crown" molding effect that would be! |
