Our Life-sized Raised Plaster Tree Stencils are always on our "cut today or be in trouble" list, leading the pack of our "most popular" designs. We consistently sell out! Completely repeatable to any height and width, your customer has complete control of exactly how they wish their tree to look! Big, small, lush, thin and wispy, skinny, wide..... the variations are endless and every photo of a tree someone sends me looks completely different from the one sent by the person before! Create one grand focal tree or an entire forest of them! Make the trunk bumpy and knarly and wonderfully "bark" looking by allowing your scraper to create bumps and ridges rather than scraping smooth. Do the same with the leaves for wonderful shadows as the light changes through out the day and evening. Add side branch elements against the trunk to attach leafy branches to. Use the same element as the tree trunk's top, adding branches to create a lush tree top. Allow branches to cross one another for more realism and even more depth! In my own home in Northern Idaho, I've plastered two 15 foot Raised Plaster trees on either side of the entry and am now working on a 25' version that begins at mid stair level on the ground floor, reaching clear up to the ceiling of the top floor. The branches not only come clear across the walls, but up and over the ceiling as well. Very impressive! The comments that I get are such fun to hear! Especially when they can't believe how simple it was.
