| Decorating with
flowers is the hot new trend and it was really fun
to do this stencil. I first plastered it and let it dry, then painted the
entire area pale blue. Once that was dry, I
took an artists brush and lightly painted random flowers in pink and purple
and added a bit of gold to the comma elements.
To finish up, I painted over everything with
translucent, iridescent paint which blended everything together, lightened
the colors and added beautiful sheen.
As I painted, I imagined this done on a baby's crib or
little girl's head board and imagined it in monotone colors on bathroom
cabinets in a powder room. How lovely!
But it's not only for cabinets. Try using it as an all
over wallpaper design as well.
