Plaster Greek Ionic Column Stencil Set

 (Click Photos to Enlarge)

Our newest (and largest) architectural columns stencil design dates back to ancient Greece and the Ionic columns found in many buildings of that era. Still used today and coveted as one of the most graceful structural elements, these stenciled plaster columns will add beautiful and ornate interest to your home.

Place them on either side of doorways to create a more beautiful entrance in to a room (or out of it).... line a drab hallway with them or place plaster columns on a long wall to break it up and create more interest.

The stencil set comes with the column top stencil and repeatable center stencil so your columns can be as tall as you wish. Each stencil is two overlays to create the outside shape of the columns and then the second overlay contains the detail, giving you a "double" raise.   It's super easy, tons of fun and incredibly impressive! Wait until you tell your guests you did it yourself! They won't believe it.

Either paint the color of you wall or dilute acrylics to the consistency of 2% milk and scrub color in to the design. (I touched up the wall paint afterward). It was easy and really brought out the detail of my columns.

It is also very easy to pre-tint the joint compound (as I did with this column design) by using pure pigment tinting products such as "Tint all" which can be found in the painting section at http://www.doitbest.com for very reasonable prices (the best on the net so far!) or even dark craft paints.

Column top: 22" wide by 6 1/2" tall

Repeatable Column Center: 21" tall by 12" wide
