A common stencil design from long ago, it never looses it's appeal as a border
stencil design on walls or furniture. Try it in the bath, laundry room or themed beach room.
This was a very popular stencil for Victorian
decorating in old stately homes.
Designer's Tip: Because we must wait
for the first repeat to dry before we can apply the second repeat, try our
"skip" method when using joint compound in repeated borders. Plaster the
first repeat, measure over the width of the stencil and mark with a pencil,
now plaster your third repeat. Do every other repeat and by the time you're
done, the compound will probably be dry enough to go do the fill in repeats.
This way, you can continue to work as the compound dries.
