| This Plaster
rope border design serves many purposed and is very versatile. Use it alone
to create a repeated rope border around a room, plaster two of them (one on
top of the other) with 4" in between. Paint that inner part a different
color than you wall color, then plaster a more ornate design in the center.
By doing this, you are actually "horizontally" framing the more ornate
design. Use it to create smaller rectangle
frames on your kitchen cabinets to make them simple, yet more beautiful than
plain cupboards. Paint the inner frame a slightly different, yet
coordinating color. How about placing a raised plaster "frieze" in the
center of that frame now for those of you who love the look or more detail?
Furniture builders LOVE this design and order it
often since they can use it on doors, drawers, backs of chairs and benches,
even on wooden chests.
Standard house moldings tend to be about 3" in
height so we made this one a little shorter so that you can now add it to
your existing wood baseboards to create a more detailed look without
replacing your baseboards!
2 Overlays for double raise. 16" x 2.25"
