Our new fringe set stencil adds the special touch of
reality to your stenciled floor rug designs.
You've never tried painting a floor rug? It's easy and
fun and something that's a must for your painted porch, tired linoleum or
concrete basement floor for something truly fun!
Simply paint a rectangle of any color on your floor.
Squares are OK too and make it any size you want.
Now,
add a coordinating painted border to make the center color stand out. In
this example, I used black.
Pick out a stencil design you like (even if it's a
raised plaster stencil since you will be using paint) and add the design
any way you like to the center rectangle.
I
used our
Raised Plaster
Acanthus Corner and Border Stencil in this example. Keep
in mind that I created this rug design on the computer so proportions
won't be exact, but you get the idea. It would then to be fun to add
another design in the same pale brown as I used as the center rectangle,
along that black border to give the rug even more detail.
Now,
add the fringe stencil around the edges and Wha La! Seal your design with
clear, non-yellowing polyurethane sealer and you have a new rug design
that will last for years!
Your rugs can include any colors you choose so go have a
blast!
