| I love fresco
Stencil designs. Not only were they used in Italian and French decorating
for centuries, they were adopted in to Victorian decorating long before the
turn of the century in the United States.
Often, frescos were used as a central design imbedded in to Italian plasters
and in the Victorian era, used on either sides of doorways, on ceilings or
within victorian plaster frames to create ornate artwork in very stately
homes and mansions.
Flipping a fresco stencil upside down and repeating
gives you a complete frame look.
