Decorating with Stencils

A mountain home takes on the "feel of the forest"

By Victoria Larsen

In my quest to begin it's decoration, I plaster stenciled 10 foot Aspen Trees on either side of the massive front windows overlooking the meadow and forest.

I did one on either side of the large front windows and trailed their branches over the adjoining walls.

Outside the front windows, real Aspen trees grow along side evergreens for a spectacular show of "gold" in the fall.

Each tree measures over 10 feet tall and they were a blast to do!

Being that the house is situated in the forest, I've decided to keep it's designs in "botanical" themes. Vines, leaves and flowers suit this house perfectly!
