A Garden Kitchen Make-Over

Christine Spiker wanted to add something really cheery to her kitchen. After choosing our Raspberry Border Stencil, she applied it using varying colors in the raspberries to the walls in her kitchen.
Where many people tend to separate their repeats (so "old school"), Christine did as I always suggest and butt the repeat right up next to the last stenciled design to create a continuous border. It looks so much more natural and flowing without breaks in the design. Take the whole concept just a hint farther and stencil it draping across and only 1/2 way down one side of your doorway or windows, then do matching napkins and oven mitts to make it a truly designer kitchen! Try stenciling just one little portion of the design on garden pots you sit in the window sill filled with herbs or on that white canister set that just seems to plain in comparison to the rest of the kitchen. Now when you're finished, take good photographs and send them to Better Homes and Gardens! Maybe you'll get published!
