It sold for $57.00 on Ebay!

In my mind, there is nothing more rewarding than taking something old and worn out and turning it in to something wonderful.

I needed a project to do...so as I perused the aisles of the flea market last summer, I came across an old bread box. The construction was great but the finish was tired.

I gave it a quick sanding, a coat of primer and a coat of cream colored paint then used stencils and a permanent marker to create tiny vines and roses.

It came out so pretty that I put it up on Ebay in the kitchen category and sold it for $57.00! It only cost me $3.99 so that was quite a healthy profit considering the small amount of time I had in to it.

Flea Markets and thrift stores are filled with wooden shelves, planters, trays and other items that can easily be re-vamped to become matching sets of kitchen items for your own home or as a source for extra cash!
