Susan
Cantrell, isn't an ordinary woman and she was bound
and determined not to have an ordinary home.
With this thought in mind, she chose to paint her
ceiling deep magenta then faux finish her walls in soft neutral beige with
hints of pale green, deeper brown and the tiniest hint of the same magenta
softly applied over the wall color
Stark white molding separates the wall and ceiling which
divides the colors and sets each of them off beautifully.
Thanks Susan!
Designers tip:
To achieve a truly soft finish, mix
paints with translucent wall glaze for a more workable medium that won't
dry too quickly on you.
Rather than using a sponge to blend
colors try applying your colors randomly and close together with a paint
brush and then softly blending them with an old torn up bath towel. It's
easier to blend and the colors come out very soft and smooth.
