Like 40 million other home owners in this country, Sue Ellis was dismayed by her Formica counter tops. Now mind you, Sue had good reason to be a bit on the dismayed side.. hers were PINK!!!!

Sue has black appliances in her kitchen and loves the rich look of that deep color. (OK, yes, yes, black is  not a color..but in decorating, you still call it "color").

She decided that rich, black granite was the perfect color to coordinate with her appliances.

After the color was on, the stencil applied and a couple of coats of varnish, Sue now LOVES her counters and finally loves her kitchen!
