Ever since I designed our
Raised
Plaster Life-sized Aspen Tree
Stencil , I've envisioned it done with
many, many trees on one wall to make up a complete forest of them. But I've
never found the time to do just what I had in mind.
Wendy Mayeur
had the same vision and made my dream become a reality!
Wendy obviously
loves her little one! She wanted to make her room extra special by making
fantasy just a little more "real".
Wendy used our
Raised
Plaster Life-sized Aspen Tree
Stencil over pale green
walls with joint compound. She wanted the Aspens to look more "Birch" she
said, so she left the trunks in the pure white color of the joint compound
then tinted the leaves a slightly darker green than the wall.

The result is just spectacular!

Designer's Tip: To make your tree
project go faster, use our "skip" method when applying the trunk.
Do the first, repeat, skip the second,
do the third and so on. Since the joint compound must dry between repeats,
jumping past the next repeat allows you to continue on.
Once the first repeats are dry, simply
go back and use the stencil again to fill in the missing repeats. Begin adding
side branches to any portions that are dry and continue on with your tree
construction.
How to stencil with joint compound
You'll be pleasantly surprised!
Remember that any of our
plaster stencils can also be used with paint! |
