Designer carpet with a stencil

Goldie Barrett, a long time friend of this website and it's fans, presents us with "Designer Carpet". And Wow! What a job she did!

She chose two leaf designs and stenciled them randomly over the carpet to create a one of a kind design. The olive green on beige carpet really creates a dramatic look!

I love stenciling carpet. It's easy, it's fast and it's so beautiful!

Thank you Goldie! It's just exquisite!

Designer's tip:

Stenciling carpet is super easy. First, vacuum and pre-wash the carpet. Acrylic paints can be used, but rather than "pounce" the brush, "swirl" it over the openings. This helps to give you a nice, crisp image.

Be careful not to use too much paint as the carpet will "harden" in that spot. Allow to dry completely before walking on it.
