Eddie McMillan is on a roll!
He's discovered the cast plaster molds and is going totally nuts! But
getting nutty over plaster molds and all that they can add to your home is a
really good thing! And especially in Eddie's
case.
A beautiful faux finished background and Eddies' molding work create the
setting for inserted cast plaster ornaments in to the rectangle wooden
frames he's mounted on to the wall.
In very decadent homes of the past and present, frames (such as these
created from very thin moldings) have always been a very beautiful way to
decorate walls and add architectural interest to a room. The addition of
either cast plaster or carved wood designs to their centers is very common
and has always been a most appealing feature of Victorian homes and
mansions.
Don't want to dig out friend husband's chop saw? An easy alternative
would be to purchase plain picture frames (just about any store including
Kmart and Walmart carry them for relatively cheap) and then mount to the
wall and create a beautiful raised design in the center (which appears to be
expensive carving) with Raised Plaster Stenciling, Cast plaster
ornamentation from any one of our molds or both!
Eddie is also becoming known for his gorgeous ceiling designs using
molds. This one finishes off the look of his newly decorated bath and
incorporates our "Rose Set" mold with tiny leaves to create a massive circle
on the ceiling...(gonna be some really sore necks on some visiting guests
when they come out of THAT room!).
Eddie... your creativity is awe inspiring!
