3-D Roses Bring Walls To Life!

Geri Summers  knows how to coordinate a room design!

She braved the rose mold she bought from us and found that casting 3-D roses in Plaster of Paris was actually very easy! So she cast many of them and painted them deep burgundy to match her bedding and room decor.

She then plaster stenciled our Rose Vine on to the wall and added those little burgundy beauties and look at the result!

As an after thought, Geri thinks she will now go back and with an artists brush, add a little lighter color to just the outside edges of the petal on the roses to make them look even more real!

Thank you Geri! I am now getting even more ideas in regards to those cast plaster roses!

(Dresser fronts, drawer pulls, Deck rail decorations...Christmas decorations... Oh heavens!)

Designers tip:

Want to pre-color your Plaster of Paris for colored ornaments for the walls? It's simple! Just add powdered Rit fabric dye right to the plaster! Pour it in to the mold and you will pop out richly colored pieces for your wall or project designs! How about casting in deep gray then stroking on some silver acrylic paint.... Whoa!
