Decorating with Stencils

A drab office gets a lift with bamboo stenciling!

Kim Ryan  claims that she is addicted to bamboo! She used our bamboo border stencil in her office to create a much more interesting and lively environment to work in.
Here, she placed it on the front of her desk as an upright design. Look how well the color coordinates with the carpeting.

Her first emails to me were claiming that she had no decorating background and little stenciling experience. Well you wouldn't be able to tell that by these pictures! Look at the variation of color in the bamboo leaves from dark to light! Notice the use of coordinating greens to the background on the key boxes. (What a cute idea! Who would have ever thought to dress up old key boxes?).

Kim was so cute when she wrote me back and said that she'd finished her project and was proud of it. She also sent me this photo showing that she's a hardened "Bamboo Fan" when at the tender age of just 55 years old, she got her first "tattoo". Guess what! It's BAMBOO! That just goes to show you that it's never too late (or early) in life to do something unique and different.
YOU GO GIRL!
Thank you Kim, for your unique contribution! Bet this one is copied a lot!

Designers tip:

Even metal can be stenciled, so don't be afraid to give an old furniture piece new life!
