Our Raised Plaster Acanthus Flourish Stencil sports a very common styling used at the turn of the century in old Victorian Decorating but dates back centuries before!

Found in many elements such as corbels, wallpaper, ceiling medallions and even ornate picture frames, the "Acanthus Leaf" was, and still is, a symbol of "elegance". To this day, it is used extensively in carvings on fine furniture, as a fabric pattern and even on more ornate lamps.

Used as a repeated border, central frieze on cabinets and furniture or as an all over wall paper design, you will find this stencil design to become one of your favorites!
