Plaster Single Acanthus Stencil

Carol Choquette's Beautiful Bath Make-over

 (Click Photos to Enlarge)

One half of the stencil design is shown in the photo. It's repeated twice on the stencil.

I used this stencil design to create a very ornate wall frame in our master bath and it came out just scrumptious! I painted the inside of the plaster stenciled frame in a pale gray and then added cast plaster ornamentation to the inside of the frame. See the entire project here!

This stencil design is perfect as a straight stencil border as well! Encase the top of your wood coffee table in it using Wood Icing or wood putty when a super tough design is needed, faux finish as desired and then place glass over the top for a table top to die for!

Designer's Tip:

Creating a frame of Raised Plaster is easy with just about any plaster stencil design! Simply decide where you wish your frame to be.

Plaster the top of the frame first. Now, add the sides vertically to your desired length. When that is dry, add the bottom, connecting with the two sides.

I particularly like plaster frames with stenciling or cast plaster inside them because it's something not typically seen in today's decorating but quickly becoming VERY popular!
